About Me

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! The Yellow Paint Project is a blog about my life and I blog about almost everything. You’ll find posts about food and restaurants, my job, my dog, things that I love (or don’t love), cooking, fitness + healthy living, DIY projects, and more! My goal with my blog is to be relatable.  I’ve tried to read so many blogs where, although beautifully curated and impeccably color coordinated, I didn’t feel like I could relate to the writer on a personal level. No one’s life is that perfect. If you’re looking for a blog written by a person who will share good moments, as well as imperfect (and downright messy moments), than this is the blog for you!

I read somewhere that Vincent Van Gogh used to eat yellow paint because he thought it would get the happiness inside him. I’m not really sure how true this is but if it is true, then I sort of get it… everyone has or does something, no matter how weird or “out there” it is, that makes them happy .  Everyone has their yellow paint.  I originally wanted to document all of the things in my life that I love (and even some things that that I don’t love) so that I could look back on them one day… but then I realized that maybe others could relate to them as well!

Hello, Everyone! My name is Chelsea and I’m a pint-sized, clumsy healthcare professional and self-proclaimed true crime addict with a mouth like a sailor. I’m 25-years-old and reside in Wellington, Florida – yep, I live where people vacation – double yep, it’s always hot here – and triple yep, I watch the news too – all the nuts roll down hill to Florida 😉 I live with my boyfriend of 4+ years (Robbie), our goldendoodle (Moose), and a Russian tortoise (Goku). If I’m not working, you can usually find me playing with my dog, catching up on the latest episodes of one of my favorite podcasts, working out to old Richard Simmons videos (yeah, I’m actually serious and sometimes I can hardly believe it either), trying a new restaurant, or wandering around a local festival or event.
